I've been watching the series of videos titled The Axe is Back Project recently, it started about a year ago, so this is my addition. An unboxing and Modification video. I ordered a new axe off of ebay. The Council Tool Hudson Bay Axe is around . The head is 1.75 lbs and the handle is 26 inches. I sanded the laquer off the handle and treated it with the boiled linseed oil. Also removed the enamel off the axe head. Hand sanded the axe head to a finer finish than the rough forging. And then sharpened the edge. Some chopping videos to come soon.
