Scraping a Rough Cut Board of Wood • Complete Sharpening Series Video 30

Scraping a Rough Cut Board of Wood • Complete Sharpening Series Video 30 Video Clips. Duration : 3.23 Mins.

AskWoodMan.com AskWoodMan is a Stanley No. 80 Scraper Plane enthusiast. This is one of multiple videos explaining and demonstrating this "old school" scaper plane; The Stanley No. 80. In this video Allan scrapes a very rough cut grimey board of Sipo, aka African mahogany. It makes good sense to use hand scrapers to clean rough boards in order to save your planer and jointer knives. This is the 30thvideo in my complete sharpening series. In this series I will use the following tools and machines: Makita 9820 electric water stone with an after market sharpening jig, Bosch belt sander, Porter Cable belt sander, Mitutoyo combination square, General Sharpening Jig, DMT Diamond Stones, and various chisels, plane irons and scrapers.
