Old ATS-34 Benchmade blade that I've always had trouble sharpening. I touched up the edge with the Gatco system before I purchased the Sharpmaker. With the Gatco I did not use the knife holder as I think it sucks. I just used the stones freehand. While these worked to sharpen it up, the blade just wasn't hair popping sharp. Along comes the Sharpmaker.
