I've settled on this method after many years of using other methods including traditional oil stones, japanese water stones and the increasingly popular 'scary sharp' method. I use an easily made sharpening station that is stored under my bench and always ready for immediate use. This method of keeping chisels and plane irons razor sharp is fast, very effective and convenient.
